

Thomas Malewitz is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Ed.D.: Leadership Program at Spalding University. He taught for over a decade as a Catholic secondary educator and as an adjunct lecturer, in the fields of Education and Theology. He is a frequent presenter at local and national conferences in education, leadership, and on the writings of Thomas Merton.
In 2021, Tom received a first place book award from the Catholic Media Association for Authenticity, Passion, and Advocacy (Wipf & Stock, 2020). He is also a two-time recipient of Best in Section honors for academic papers presented at the College English Association national conference (2022 & 2024).


My second co-edited volume, Hollywood or History? An Inquiry Based Approach for Using Comic Based Stories to Teach Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, was released November 2025 through Emerald Publishing.
