Influenced by the instrumental guitar works of Michael Hedges, Phil Keaggy, Leo Kottke, and Don Ross, Tom enjoys experimenting with the total creative power of an instrument, especially the guitar. He plays acoustic and electric guitar, accordion, bass, Celtic whistles, harmonicas, and various hand percussion.
Primarily a liturgical musician, with over 25 years of experience, Tom has also been invited to play as a musical accompanist at the Ann Arbor Art Fair (Ann Arbor, MI), a Baddeck Gathering Ceilidh (Nova Scotia, Canada), Sounds of Spring Concert (St. Meinrad, IN), and at the Windsor Celtic Festival (Ontario, Canada). More recently, he was a member of the Back in the Day Band (2013-2016) playing local community events in Louisville, such as the German-American Club and the Schnitzelburg #1 Citizen Dinner.
Tom continues to serve as a Catholic liturgical musician as well as a musical entertainer for local nursing homes. Since 2020, he plays guitar, accordion, and whistles with the Louisville-based cover band, Pinball Sessions.
